Juvelook 50 mg — the original, since 2019

The short answer
The 50 mg Juvelook, first launched in 2019, is the reference product: 42.5 mg PDLLA and 7.5 mg HA with a mean 24 µm particle. It is injected into the dermis for texture, fine lines and elasticity. Human studies of this class show better scores for fine lines, texture, pigmentation and redness, and in a 40-patient study of Juvelook delivered needle-free, improvement scores kept rising to 24 weeks. Miso Clinic in Daegu (4F Bombom Building, 125 Dongdeok-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu; +82 53-428-2700) stocks it.

What studies have shown
- 16 patients — fine lines 38%, texture 41%, irregular pigmentation 41%, telangiectasia 31% and redness 26% better (brochure summary); half reported over 50% improvement.
- Needle-free, 40 patients — GAIS 1.48 → 1.90 (8 weeks) → 2.16 (24 weeks); satisfaction 3.38 → 8.71.
- Aged mice — collagen and elastic fibre density rose at 2, 4 and 8 weeks.
What we use it for
- Whole-face texture and fine lines
- Elasticity and pores
- Shallow scars
Skin looks hydrated straight away, may look unchanged around weeks two to three as the HA absorbs, then firms over weeks to months. I start small and decide whether to add after seeing the face again a few weeks later.
Acne scars too
In a scar study, four dermal PDLLA sessions improved scar grade by 36.99%; at five months the particles had largely degraded and collagen and elastic fibres had increased. See the acne scar column.
