When do Everwrinkle results show, and how many sessions do you need?
A common disappointment with PLLA treatment is “It worked at first, then it went flat in a few days.” That is actually the normal course. If you know beforehand when and in what order Everwrinkle results appear, and how many sessions to expect, you will worry a lot less.
The short answer
With Everwrinkle, you see volume right after treatment, it fades within days to a few weeks, and then the change comes back over weeks to months as collagen builds. PLLA products are usually given in 2–3 sessions 4–6 weeks apart, and we judge the result 2–3 months after the last session. In a randomized PLLA study, improvement in nasolabial folds was still maintained in 55.56% at 120 weeks, but there is no long-term data under the Everwrinkle product name yet. At Miso Clinic, 4F Bombom Building, 125 Dongdeok-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu (Exit 1, Kyungpook Nat'l Univ. Hospital Station), +82-53-428-2700, I do not set the number of sessions in advance; we decide as we watch your response.
In what order do Everwrinkle results appear?
| Timing | What you see | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Right after to a few days | A filled look, some swelling | The water injected with it, plus swelling |
| 1–3 weeks | Looks like before again | The water is absorbed — this is the normal course |
| 4–8 weeks | A gradual filling-in | Collagen starts to form |
| 2–3 months on | Change in the folds and hollow areas | This is when we judge |
The 1–3 weeks when it feels like “it went away” are the anxious stretch. Please do not decide it has failed at that point.
How many Everwrinkle sessions, and how far apart?
There is no human study yet that sets a session schedule for Everwrinkle itself. So we follow studies and experience with other PLLA products. PLLA studies mostly used 2–3 sessions 3–6 weeks apart, and the Korean split-face comparison used 3 sessions 4 weeks apart.
- First session: start with an amount that shows us your response
- 4–6 weeks later: look at how much has filled in and adjust the amount and areas for session 2
- A third session if needed, then judge with photos after 2–3 months
Putting a lot in at once may seem quicker, but with PLLA it raises the risk of nodules. That is why we divide it up.
How long do Everwrinkle results last?
There is no long-term follow-up data on Everwrinkle itself yet. For PLLA in general, in the randomized study of 208 people with nasolabial folds, 55.56% on the PLLA side were still improved at 120 weeks (about 2 years and 4 months). On the hyaluronic acid filler side it was 25.00%.
Even in that study, only 135 people remained at 120 weeks, and the extended observation period was not randomized. So I do not promise “it lasts 2 years.” We look at your result and decide when to do the next session.
What affects the result?
- Whether your concern is the kind PLLA can help — deep sagging needs lifting first
- The amount of PLLA and the layer — deep dermis or subcutaneous
- The interval between sessions — giving collagen time to fill in
- Personal factors such as age, skin thickness and smoking
What if it feels like it is not working?
First we check the timing. If you are 1–3 weeks in, it is most likely the normal course. If 2–3 months have passed and the change still seems small, we compare same-condition photos with the starting ones. Quite often the photos show more change than you feel.
If it is still not enough, we decide together whether to add a session or combine another approach (hyaluronic acid filler or lifting).
How do we decide the number of sessions at Miso Clinic?
- We do not bundle sessions in advance
- We take photos at the same angle and lighting every session
- Photos 2–3 months after the last session decide the next step
Everwrinkle results and sessions: frequently asked questions
It went flat a few days after Everwrinkle. Did it fail?
Usually this is the normal course. The volume right after treatment is the water injected with it and fades within 1–3 weeks; the change from collagen appears gradually from 4–8 weeks.
Is one Everwrinkle session enough?
Some people with mild concerns finish in one session, but PLLA is usually divided into 2–3 sessions 4–6 weeks apart. We decide based on your response.
How many years do Everwrinkle results last?
There is no long-term data on Everwrinkle itself yet. In a randomized study of PLLA in general, 55.56% still had improvement at 120 weeks.
