Rejuran HB versus regular Rejuran: what is the difference?

Rejuran is a range, not a single product. The names are confusingly similar, but the difference is exactly one thing: what was added to the PN.

The short answer

Rejuran Healer is PN alone, Rejuran HB is PN plus hyaluronic acid, and Rejuran HB Plus adds a local anaesthetic (lidocaine) on top. The PN dose and role are the same; hydration and pain differ. It is not that one is better: thin, sensitive areas and pain-sensitive people suit HB Plus, and people who prefer the basic formulation suit Healer. Miso Clinic uses HB Plus by default.

HB’s hyaluronic acid is not filler hyaluronic acid

The HA in HB is not cross-linked, unlike the filler type that holds volume for months. It absorbs within days to weeks, hydrating and then disappearing. So “HB gives volume too” is not accurate.

Why add lidocaine

The manufacturer says it added lidocaine to HB Plus “to reduce pain compared with existing Rejuran”. Read the other way, the original hurts. That is why Miso Clinic defaults to HB Plus: if pain makes you abandon the course halfway, you never get the chance to see the result.

So when is Healer used

Lidocaine allergy, not wanting added HA, or continuing a course already started on Healer. The PN does the same job in all three, so Healer is not “less effective”.

Which treatment is “best” is decided by the state of your skin right now, not by the product. In consultation we look first at what has been lost and what is still there, before we talk about any product name.

Frequently asked questions

Is HB Plus more effective than Healer?

Same PN dose and role. Pain and hydration differ; there is no basis for a bigger effect on lines or texture.

Will HB’s hyaluronic acid puff up my face?

It is non-cross-linked and absorbs within days to weeks. No lasting volume like filler.

Can I switch from Healer to HB Plus mid-course?

Yes. The PN is the same. If pain was the problem, switching helps you finish the course.
