Density versus Oligio: what is the difference?

This comparison has an extra step: “Oligio” refers to three products. Which Oligio has to be settled before any comparison works.

The short answer

Density and Oligio have never been compared directly in humans. And “Oligio” means Oligio (monopolar only), Oligio X (dual-mode RF) and Oligio Kiss (RF plus focused ultrasound). Miso Clinic has Oligio Kiss. By design, Density uses monopolar then bipolar in sequence, while the Oligio unit is monopolar alone. Oligio Kiss adds focused ultrasound and becomes a candidate when sagging reaches a deeper layer that needs point-by-point coagulation. Evidence is thin on both sides with no controls: Density 16 people, Oligio 20.

The many “not found” entries do not mean Oligio is worse; they mean we could not locate published specifications.

Why Oligio Kiss is a separate case

RF heats a broad volume evenly; focused ultrasound places coagulation points at a fixed depth. Broad heating favours skin thickness and firmness; point coagulation favours pulling up sagging structure in the deeper layer. Oligio Kiss does both in one sitting. So for sagging that has reached the deeper layer we sometimes put Oligio Kiss ahead of Density. Again, judgement, not data.

Which treatment is “best” is decided by the state of your skin right now, not by the product. In consultation we look first at what has been lost and what is still there, before we talk about any product name.

Frequently asked questions

Does Miso Clinic have Oligio?

Oligio Kiss, yes. Not the Oligio unit or Oligio X.

Is Oligio Kiss better than Density?

Never compared. Sagging into the deeper layer points to Kiss with its added ultrasound; otherwise Density or XERF first.

Are Oligio X and Kiss the same?

Different devices. X is an extension within RF; Kiss adds focused ultrasound to RF.
