Rituo in Daegu: which skin it suits, and which it does not
If you searched for the best clinic for Rituo in Daegu, there is something worth settling before you pick one: whether Rituo is aimed at your concern at all. Done well in the wrong direction, it still will not give you the change you wanted. These are the distinctions we actually make in consultation.
The short version
Rituo targets the condition of the dermis. It adds material to skin that has thinned and loosened; it does not restore lost volume. So if your main concern is a hollow, heavy or sagging face, the direction is wrong. If it is thin skin with fine crepey lines, it becomes a candidate. That single line is the whole article; the rest explains where the boundary falls.
What you can check in a mirror first
There are observations you can make before you come in. These are how we work in clinic, not a validated diagnostic test.
- Lie down. If the thing that bothers you visibly softens when you are flat, it is mostly descent. A booster is not the first answer.
- Lift your cheek gently with your hand. Lines that flatten when lifted belong to sagging; fine lines that stay put belong to the skin itself. The second group is where boosters sit.
- Take light from the side. Texture that scatters into many small shadows is a different problem from a single deep groove.
The distinction matters for a simple reason: Rituo was built for the second group. Used on the first, the cost is the same and the change is small.
The fit — skin whose dermis has thinned
Rituo is donated human skin processed to remove cells, leaving the dermal matrix (hADM), prepared for injection. The structural material of the dermis goes in as it is. That is what defines the category.
| Presentation | Why it fits |
|---|---|
| Skin thin enough to show what is underneath | The target layer is the dermis itself. |
| Many fine crepey lines | Loss of density at the surface rather than one deep groove. |
| Thin, reactive areas such as under the eye | Somewhere volumising products are hard to use. |
| Rough texture, uneven light | A surface-pattern problem, not a weight problem. |
One qualification, to be honest about it. We could not find a human study that directly confirms Rituo works better in thin skin. The table above comes from the layer the product targets and from clinical judgement, not from a randomised trial.
The mismatch — when weight and volume are the problem
The other side is clearer. Hollow cheeks, a heavier lower face, a blurred jawline — if that is the main concern, Rituo is the wrong tool. The quantity of material added to the dermis does not change the weight of a face.
The anatomy makes this obvious. In 53 cadavers, skin thickness ranged from 1.51 mm at the nose to 1.97 mm below the eye — about 1.3-fold, while the superficial fat beneath it ranged from 1.61 mm beside the nose to 5.14 mm around the mouth — about 3.2-fold. A separate study of 30 cadavers measured skin at 2.1 mm and superficial fat at 5.2 mm, with a standard deviation of 36% of the mean.
Read it this way: facial volume is governed by the fat layer, not the dermis, and person-to-person variation is far larger there too. Using a dermal product against a fat-layer problem is a plan with the layers mismatched.
There is also this. Rituo belongs to a category with no established dissolving agent; we were not able to verify a primary study of any reversal agent. That is why we do not endorse a “try it and undo it if it is wrong” approach when the direction is uncertain.
If something is already in the area
When another material already sits in the same site, we look harder. Not because a trial showed layering to be dangerous — we could not find such a trial at all — but because attributing a later problem to a cause becomes difficult.
That is especially true where something hard to reverse went in first. Separating the sites or spacing the timing usually resolves it.
How we decide
We do not offer Rituo as a general-purpose injection for good skin. We work through it in this order.
- Sort the concern into texture, thickness or volume. No product name is mentioned before that is settled.
- If volume leads, we say the direction is different. That means we are not recommending Rituo, and we look at other categories in the same visit.
- We look at skin thickness by site. The eye area and the cheek are designed differently even on the same face.
- We check what is already in the area. Layering gets a second thought.
- We state the origin of the material first. If a human-derived product is uncomfortable for you, we move on to another category there and then.
Which treatment suits you depends on your skin condition, how much change you want, and what you have already had. That is why the same named treatment does not always lead us to the same conclusion.
Frequently asked
How do I choose a clinic for Rituo in Daegu?
No public metric compares injector skill. What you can compare is whether the consultation looks at your skin before naming a product, and whether the clinic says so when the treatment does not fit. That difference is audible.
My skin is thin. Does Rituo suit me?
It becomes a candidate: the product targets the dermis, so thinned skin is the right direction. We should add that we could not find a human study directly confirming it works better in thin skin.
Will it fill a hollow cheek?
No. Facial volume is governed by the fat layer under the dermis. In cadaver measurements superficial fat varied about 3.2-fold by site, far more than skin did, and varied more between people. If hollowing leads, another direction fits.
Can it be used under the eye?
That area is thin and reactive, which is exactly where volumising products are hard to use, so this category becomes an option. Skin thickness differs by site, so the plan differs even for the same product. Better to decide after examination than to arrive with a site in mind.
Fine lines or nasolabial folds — which one?
Fine lines. A nasolabial fold is usually a matter of weight and shadow, which is a different direction. If the line flattens when you lift the cheek gently, it is not a booster’s territory.
Can it be combined with other boosters?
Yes, if sites or timing are separated. Layering over something hard to reverse deserves caution — not because a trial showed harm, but because later attribution becomes difficult.
What happens if I have it when it does not fit?
Less a safety problem than a disappointing one. And this category has no established dissolving agent; we could not verify a primary study of any reversal agent. So we do not recommend trying it when the direction is unclear.
Can I tell in advance whether it suits me?
Lying down and lifting the cheek will usually separate the directions. We should say plainly that this is our clinical method, not a validated diagnostic test.

What we could not verify
- Any human study confirming a particular benefit in thin skin — the distinctions above come from the target layer and from clinical judgement.
- Any comparative trial of safety when layered with other boosters.
- Any primary study of a reversal agent for this material.
- Volume per injection — absent from the paper, the registry and the manufacturer material.
- Any study validating the lie-down and cheek-lift observations — these are our clinical method, not a standard test.
