Density Noir results — when do they show, and what improves?

“Will I look different right after Density Noir?” I hear this a lot since we brought the device in. The short answer is “a little right away, most of it slowly.” Here is why, what you can expect, and what you should not expect.

The short answer

Density Noir results come in two parts: a slight tightening you may notice right after treatment, and a change that builds over 2–3 months as collagen responds. The device heats tissue under the skin with radiofrequency, the tissue contracts, and firmness comes back during healing. So I judge results after 2–3 months, with photos taken under the same conditions. In a Thai study of 26 people treated with Noir, 47.83% showed clear improvement at 6 months, with no control group. Hollow cheeks or deeply loose skin will not be fixed by RF alone. We added Density Noir in October 2026 at Miso Clinic, 4F Bombom Building, 125 Dongdeok-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu (Exit 1, Kyungpook Nat'l Univ. Hospital Station), +82-53-428-2700.

Do Density Noir results show right away?

A little, yes. Heated tissue contracts, so on the day you may feel “slightly lifted.” But there is swelling at that point too, so please do not treat that look as the result.

The real change comes later. As your body repairs the heated area it makes new collagen, and that takes weeks to months. That is why I review results with you after 2–3 months, using photos from the same angle and lighting.

What does Density Noir improve?

  • Early to moderate sagging, such as a softer jawline or cheeks that seem to sit lower
  • Skin that feels thinner and less firm
  • Shallow-layer concerns like texture and fine lines, which is why the bipolar step is there

Within one shot, Noir fires monopolar RF, which heats broad and deep, followed by bipolar RF, which heats the shallow layer more densely. Treating deep and shallow layers in a single pass is what defines this device.

Density Noir features: sequential heating patent, 8 tip types, real-time impedance feedback, 5-level cooling

What can Density Noir not do?

  • Hollow cheeks or temples: RF does not add volume
  • Deeply loose skin: do not expect a surgical change
  • Pigmentation and melasma

In these cases we talk about injectables or thread lifting first. The first step is checking whether your face is a good fit for RF at all.

What did studies in people show?

There is not much human data on Noir yet. In a Thai study that followed 26 people for 6 months, 47.83% showed clear improvement. Erythema appeared in 96.15% and swelling in 61.53%, and both were temporary. There is also a US retrospective series of 25 people, but it included just those who completed both photos and questionnaires.

Neither study had a control group. So I do not promise “X percent improvement.” I talk about a plan that fits your face, and we judge together after 2–3 months.

How long do Density Noir results last?

No study yet pins down a duration in numbers. Follow-up in the earlier Density studies goes to 24 weeks. Aging keeps going, so once we see your result, we decide on the next session based on your skin.

I wrote about retreatment timing separately in how often to repeat Density.

What helps you get more out of it?

  • Check first whether your sagging is the kind RF can help
  • Adjust output and cooling area by area while asking about heat, which is why we keep numbing light
  • Choose the ALPHA or BOOST tip based on the layer we want to treat
  • Skip saunas and heavy drinking for the first few days

Density Noir results: frequently asked questions

When do Density Noir results show?

You may feel slight tightening on the day, but the change from collagen response builds over 2–3 months. We judge it after 2–3 months with same-condition photos.

Does one Density Noir session work?

With early to moderate sagging, some people see a change after one session. We decide the number of sessions based on your face and your result, not as a package set in advance.

Is Density Noir more effective than the original Density?

I could not find a study comparing the two devices in the same people. Results depend more on your face, the tip, the shot count and the plan than on the device name.
